- Authentication & Security: To keep restaurant managers securely signed into their dashboard, refresh security tokens, and prevent cross-site request forgery (CSRF).
- Diner Cart & Order Persistence: When a diner browses a digital menu or participates in a group table tab, items added to their cart or session tokens are stored locally so that their selections persist if the page is refreshed.
- Customization & Preferences: To remember your selected display theme (dark mode or light mode) and preferred language (English, Sinhala, or Tamil).
- Platform Routing & Multi-Domain Proxy: To route requests on custom domains (such as menu.yourrestaurant.com) to the correct digital menu without latency.

sb-access-token / sb-refresh-token: Supabase session auth tokens
x-restaurant-slug: Edge routing header for custom restaurant domains
